Shinanomachi ID card can be used as library card from April 1, 2025
From April 1 2025, faculty and staff members affiliated with the Shinanomachi campus* will be able to use their Shinanomachi ID card as a library card.
Please bring your ID card when entering/leaving the Media Center and using the borrowing service after April 1, 2025.
*Please bring the library card issued by Shinanomachi Media Center by March 31, 2025.
*For those who are applicable to the following positions, ID card cannot be used as a library card.
Please use the local library card to acquire our service.

・Co-researchers
・Temporary staff / Part-time staff
・Students
・Former Faculty/Staff Members ...etc.

- Please refer to this guide for information on how to apply for a local library card.
- If you are unable to determine whether your ID card can be used as a library card, please contact the Shinanomachi Media Center of your name and faculty/staff number after April 1 2025.
How to pass through the entrance/exit gate with ID card
Tap your ID card to pass through the gate.
*You cannot pass through the gate by scanning the barcode on the ID card.
What to do with your local library card after April 2025
- A library card already issued will continue to be available even after April 1, 2025 for the duration of your tenure till the expiry.
- If you are a full-time faculty/staff member, you are still required to use your local library card for the "Keio-Waseda Library Book Share" service.
- If you do not need your existing library card, you may dispose of it or return it to the library counter.
