Course reserves

A service to hold materials that are required for classes and research seminars for a set period at a designated location in the Media Center at the request of faculty members. Because these materials cannot be taken out of the library on loan, they can be used by the students who attend the classes and research seminars at any time. Writing and research consultants (WRC)

Postdoctoral researchers and doctoral students offer advice on how to write papers and assignments. *This service is only available during term time. Please confirm the schedule on the WRC website and go directly to the event space on the second floor of the library. You can also make an advance reservation.

Library orientations

We provide individual and group explanations on topics including how to use the Media Center, find materials, and search specific databases according to your needs. Please do not hesitate to consult us. Please apply at least three days before your desired date for the orientation and bring a laptop computer with you on the day.

Customized seminars and library tours

Seminars on searching for literature related to class and research seminar topics, database courses, and library tours are arranged for groups of three people or more. These events can be freely arranged to meet your needs, including combinations such as literature searches and library tours or literature searches and reference management tool workshops. Please take advantage of this service in groups or during slots for research seminars, classes, etc. Please apply at least one week before the date the seminars and tours are to be held.

  • Workshops on specific databases such as Mendeley, RefWorks, and Nikkei NEEDS and related tools.

Apply to do surveys and take photographs inside the library

Keio University students are required to notify the Media Center if they intend to conduct surveys or take photos inside the library. Please submit the application form in advance (before the day of the survey or photoshoot). (Applications are not accepted on the day)

This is a service to print out teaching materials on behalf of faculty members.

Limited to teaching materials which faculty members have created by themselves for the purpose of use in classes and research seminars at Keio University.
