Open Area

The Open Area of the SFC Media Center provides equipment for a variety of uses, including workstation PCs, scanner PCs, and AV material listening/viewing/editing booths. Special outlets are also available for plugging laptop computers into the CNS network.

Please Note!
  • The Media Center only permits the editing of AV materials created by the user.
  • Take care not to infringe on copyrights when using TV broadcast images or commercial software.

Creative Space

This space contains PC workstations equipped with music production hardware, keyboards, audio decks, and CD/DV editing decks.

FAB Space

You can make things using digital technology such as 3D printers and 3D scanners. Please visit the AV counter when you want to use the Fab Space.

Lounge

The lounge can be used as a relaxing space for taking a break from studying, chatting with friends, or talking on the phone (please refrain from loud conversations). There are beverage vending machines. You can purchase Keio University's official bottled water, "Keio no mizu." You can use the space for taking online classes that involve speaking such as participating in class discussions and pronunciation practice.

New Arrival Books Corner

Books that have recently been added to the SFC Media Center collection are displayed in this corner for one week. Books on display may be checked out.

Information Desk

The Information Desk is the place to ask any questions about using the Media Center. You can check out and return materials, borrow keys for the facilities in the basement, and complete user registration for the Media Center.

AV Counter

You can borrow audiovisual equipment such as video cameras and edit and view videos. AV consultants are here to answer your questions on the Fab Space.

Reference Desk

Reference services are intended to assist you with questions about research, including locating resources and using the Media Center.

Reference services are available on weekdays 9:15-17:00 (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays).
*Not available on public holidays on which classes are held.
